Shongum Sportsmen's Association is accepting new members!

Membership Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English to understand Range Safety Commands
• Must be a registered voter and vote or possess a legal resident alien card.
• Must possess and provide proof of a NJ Firearms ID (NJFID)
  Address on NJFID must match address on Membership Application.
• Must possess and provide proof of active NRA membership
• Must make payment of initial fees (initiation & access card deposit) and pay dues annually
• Must agree to and sign the "Member Release and Assumption of Risk" waiver
• Attendence at least 3 member meetings and the New Member Range Safety Orientation (NMRSO) the first year

Membership Costs:

• Initiation Fee $150 + tax.  Non-refundable.
  Initiation Fee is Waived for Active Military and Veterans. (Must provide proof with active ID or DD-214/DD-215 documents)
• "Regular Member" Annual Dues $220 + tax. 
  OR "Regular Member+" Annual Dues $330 + tax (include your spouse with no Initiation Fee)
• Access Card(s) $10/ea (no tax).  Refundable when returned

Membership Process:

• Complete a Membership Request.  Click here
• Membership Officer will email an online Membership Application
• Fill out the online Membership Application (either pay online or request an invoice by email)
• Attend a first monthly Members Meeting (3rd Wednesday evening of the month) to become a PLEDGE
  Pay by cash/check at this meeting.  Provide any paper documentation to the Membership Officer.
• Attend a New Members Range Safety Orientation (NMRSO) (typically the Saturday morning after the Members Meeting)
• Attend a second monthly Members meeting to be approve by vote as a PROBATIONARY member.
• Safely use our ranges for a period of one year.
• After 12 months, attend a final Members Meeting to be voted into REGULAR membership.
