About US

We are a member owned and operated NRA sporting club located in North Warren County, New Jersey.  We were founded in 1981 when the 
Comanche Bowmen (est. 1953) and the Paper Punchers (est. 1969) merged.

Our Mission

The purpose of this organization is to encourage the lawful use and safe and proper handling of firearms and archery equipment to provide a climate for the improvement of marksmanship among citizens of the United States. We actively support the conservation of wildlife through hunting and other methods. Our objective and purpose is to further the development of honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play and self-reliance, which are the essentials of good sportsmanship and the foundation of true patriotism.

Shongum Sportsmen’s Association is committed to providing an environment of mutual respect and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operations.

Our Club

• Club is situated on over 100 acres in beautiful North Warren County
• We have 3 outdoor ranges, an indoor range, a club house, and Hunting & Archery
• • Outdoor 100yd Rifle range has 20 shooting stations, portable frames can be used to shoot < 100 yds
  • Outdoor Trap range has 4 voice activated trap houses
  • Outdoor 50ft Pistol range. Practical shooting permissible.
  • Indoor 50ft Pistol & 22LR Rifle range w/ 15 ports. State of the art non-recirculating ventilation system
  • Clubhouse with meeting area, large screen TV, wireless internet, snack & soda machines, cooking facilities.
• We are an NRA club and offer NRA training
• We offer extensive women and youth programs

Our Regular Activities

• Weekly, Public Event, Trap Shooting, every Sunday 10-2pm, every Tuesday 9-1pm, Summer Friday nights 7pm-10pm
• Weekly, Members-only, Pistol League on Tuesday nights 5pm-10pm
• Bi-Weekly, Public Event, Juniors League, every other Friday night 7pm-9pm
• Monthly, Public Event, USPSA Match, 1st Saturday of the month 9am-530pm
• Monthly, Public Event, Black Power Rifle League, 2nd Sunday of the month 10am-3pm
• Monthly, Public Event, Cowboy Action Shooting, 3rd Sunday of the month 10am-4pm
• Monthly, Public Event, High Power Rifle Match, 4th Sunday of the month 10am-5pm
• Monthly, Public Event, Women's League, Last Wednesday of the month 630pm-930pm (excluding Oct, Nov, & Dec)
